Two more San Fran artists to wink at on the street

Hey scared-y cats and tuna noodles,

Brian and I were searching desperately today (to no avail) for the hard copy of the children-s book text (we ended up printing up another copy, and making some ground earth universe breaking shattering revisions of success), and I found two postcards from two shows I forgot I loved. Love.

The first postcard is Mary Patterson ( blogger is not accepting my linking, so here http://www.fishchild.com/index.html ). Now, you already know that I love paintings of cats, kittens, donkeys, roosters, etc... But guinea pigs on dates (http://www.fishchild.com/Octshow/Guinea%20Pigs%20copy.jpg) ? Yeah, I blew your mind just then, and I don't take it back. I like that her illustration is as woosely as her paintings, not that hard-line gibber jabber Adobe will have you chained to. Plus she jus coo'.

Anywho, the other lady had or has or have a studio two blocks from my house. Her name is Hadley Northrop (http://hadleynorthrop.blogspot.com/ ), and I like her paintings of woods-fires and twinky campers. Take a looksie at those, I suppose.

Until next time, I'm off to hand-letter our entire book, pen fist :D Because I can. (I have only messed up once, and I knifed it to sweet clean perfection.)

Word.
Arrrrr

Oh and here is the closest thing to my guinea pigs on dates:
